£50 could pay for an hour of nursing care in a patients home

Light up a Life
Light up a Life is marked by hospices across the UK, including Saint Francis Hospice, where we are dedicated to supporting people who have experienced the death of someone close to them. People come together to celebrate, reflect and remember loved ones who are no longer with us - whether they received hospice care or not.
Our Light up a Life Appeal invites you to make a donation and dedicate a light in memory of someone special. All donations are spent locally caring for people with any life limiting illness.
If you would like us to send you a leaflet about Light up a Life please call 01708 771433 or email us.
To make a donation by text, please text LUAL01 followed by the amount you wish to donate to 70070. We will receive 100% of this donation and if you follow the link to Gift Aid it will be worth an extra 25%.
Richard Blunden, pictured above with his son Thomas 4, will experience Light up a Life for the first time this year. His wife, Nikki, died in April, so this winter, he and his son will dedicate a candle in her memory. "The hospice is like an extended part of your family," said Richard. "When Nikki was at the hospice I could relax knowing she was well looked after."
"You never know what is around the corner, you don't know what's going to happen to you or your family," said Richard. "The hospice needs help to be here for people like Nikki and they need as much help as they can get. Please give whatever you can so the hospice can continue its great work for people who rely on them for care and support now."
