Volunteering

Volunteers make up an essential part of our hospice team.  Without them we would be unable to provide the vast range of services and facilities for patients, carers and families.

Some of our volunteers have specific skills that they are able to use to the benefit of the hospice, for example, complementary therapies, driving or hairdressing.  Many others, who may not have specific skills, offer a commitment, which is highly valued.

There are always jobs that need to be done, from helping on our In-patient Unit and in our Day Hospice helping to tend our award winning gardens, assisting in one of our many local shops to assisting our Fundraising department with their regular and occasional fundraising events.  In fact, volunteers are involved in almost every part of the hospice’s day to day life.

Whether you have just a few hours to spare or a few days a week we would be delighted to hear from you.  Volunteering can be an extremely rewarding occupation that has a positive effect on your community.
