Crime writer Martina Cole delights fans at book signing
12 December 2011

Fans of crime writer Martina Cole were full of festive cheer when they got to meet the author and have copies of her book signed while supporting Saint Francis Hospice.
Martina Cole signed copies of her new book The Faithless along with favourites from her collection at Pat’s Books in Romford Market on Saturday 10th December, in return for donations to the Hospice.
The Sunday Times Bestselling author has thought highly of the charity since her uncle, Jimmy McNamara, received our care, and in addition to drumming up donations stall holder Pat Fletcher donated 50 pence for every copy of The Faithless sold on the day.
Martina said: “My uncle Jimmy was treated by staff from Saint Francis Hospice in the last days of his life and the care he received was of such a high standard that I wanted to give something back.”
Community Fundraising Manager Lynda Head said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Martina Cole fans to the stall and share with them our work. We are grateful to Martina and Pat for organising this event to raise funds for the vital care we provide to people affected by cancer, heart disease or other life-limiting illness.”
