First Chief Executive announced for hospice

Saint Francis Hospice is delighted to announce the appointment of its first Chief Executive to help develop the organisation.

Pam Court will be taking up this new role at Saint Francis Hospice in Havering-atte-Bower in May.

Pam is a highly experienced NHS professional with 35 years experience in healthcare – 10 years at Chief Executive level.  She initially worked as an Occupational Therapist and then held a variety of senior management posts in London and within Essex.

Pam said: “I very much look forward to joining Saint Francis Hospice and will be looking towards the future and building on its successes.”

Hospice Chairman Dr Robert Weatherstone, said: “Most of the UK’s 219 hospices are led by a Chief Executive and we are pleased to be welcoming Pam to the hospice. Her wide ranging experience in the NHS will be a real asset in helping us to continue to develop and face the challenges of a tough financial climate.

“Our hospice has celebrated nearly 27 fantastic years and a Chief Executive will provide the strategic vision and leadership to ensure the long-term future of the hospice for local patients and their families.”
