Wedding shop to close, but storage firm offers assistance

23 November 2011

Over 100 wedding dresses will soon go into storage, as after a decade of helping brides to find their perfect dress, our Special Moments shop in Collier Row will be closing its doors.

The store is closing this Saturday, November 26th, because a bridal and occasion wear section is being create in the Hornchurch shop - which will increase the Shops Company’s contribution to the Hospice.

Stock will be on sale at discounted prices until Saturday and then Access Self Storage in Romford will come to the shops company’s aid because they have offered to store leftover stock free of charge while the designated occasion wear section is being created in the Station Lane shop, Hornchurch.

Steve Rose, Shops General Manager, said: "Now is a great time for brides and their partners to pick up a bargain before the stock goes into storage. We have a great range of sizes. I am grateful to Access Self Storage for coming to our aid and offering somewhere to keep our stock in perfect condition while we prepare the Hornchurch store for the collection."

He added: "I would like to thank the staff and volunteers who have worked in the Special Moments shop over the years - helping customers find the ideal outfit for their special occasion."

Access Self Storage is a valued corporate supporter of the Hospice and is also currently inviting customers and people to donate new gifts at their Romford and Barking branches, which will then be donated to Saint Francis Hospice to sell or generating funds as raffle prizes. Regional Manager Kerry Ahmani-Ferdi, said: "As a local business, Access Self Storage believe that helping and supporting other businesses within the community is a vital part of developing and keeping relationships.

When I met the Hospice’s Marketing Executive Maria at an event and she spoke with great passion and pride about all the care and support offered, I have visited the Hospice and was touched to hear the stories of great strength and compassion given. It is a great benefit to Access Self Storage to see that we can actually help, by offering our facility and support to this very worthy charity.”
