Advance Care Planning (ACP) is the process of discussing and planning ahead in anticipation of deterioration in a person’s condition. Although not the only focus of ACP, it can include decisions around do not attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation (DNACPR).

This study day is for all healthcare providers who work with people with life-limiting illness and end of life care issues. It is suitable for both qualified and non-qualified staff from any care setting.

• Factors that influence resuscitation success.
• Principles of decision making around DNACPR.
• Communication skills.
