£1,200 win for hospice in charity football match

It was a top team effort when staff and supporters got their football boots on and scored more than £1,200 for hospice care.    

Joe O’Sullivan, a Director at A.M.O.S Properties organised the match at Brentwood Town Football Club on Sunday, August 13 and Mike Allen, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Saint Francis Hospice rounded up a team of corporate supporters to take up the challenge.     

The action packed game ended with a 6-3 win for the hospice team thanks to the talents of super Striker Steve Morton from Paragon in Dagenham who scored an impressive 4 goals and was awarded the Man of the Match trophy. Brentwood Town FC match for SFH 2    


A raffle and auction was later held as the teams enjoyed a well-earned beer and rested their aching muscles.     


“It was a fantastic day and a big thank you to Joe from A.M.O.S Properties for making it happen and to everyone who took part and made it such a success,” said Mike.    


“It was great to see team SFH win, even if I did miss a penalty.”
