Angela Dale, 52, Debbie Alexander, 55, Connie Sillett, 47, Tracey McGarry, 43, and Toni Hutley, 42, will be taking in the city's historic sights during the London Bridges Walk on September 5th to support Saint Francis Hospice.

The team of five, who all work on the In-Patient unit at the hospice, will begin their exciting challenge at Westminster Bridge by the famous landmarks Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and finish by Tower Bridge.

Health Care Assistant Angela (pictured on the right in picture) said, "Saint Francis Hospice needs to raise more than £7 million every year.

"We know we cannot rely on people outside the charity to do all the fundraising and we need to get involved as well."

Staff Nurse Tracey said they had already taken part in the charity's Star Walk event and she'd also run in the Brentwood Half Marathon.

"We thought this event looked like fun and we are really looking forward to it," she added.

And along the way walkers will have the chance to enjoy the sights and sounds and even stop for a coffee or snack if they wish to take things easy and soak up the atmosphere.

Toni, a Ward Clerk, Senior Staff Nurse Debbie and Staff Nurse Connie, are all set to join their colleagues and Connie is hoping to get a bit of help along the way from her taxi driver husband Russ.

"My husband has promised to give us a lift between the bridges if there is no football on that day," said Connie.

"It doesn't matter how you get to the different bridges as long as you walk over them when you get there."

Mary Anne Donovan, the hospice's Project Manager said, "This is a fantastic opportunity for family and friends to get together and enjoy a fantastic day out in London while helping to ensure our hospice continues to provide excellent care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

"So get your walking boots ready and sign up for our latest challenge."
