The hospice is calling on families and pet lovers to sign up to the 3.5km Woofs and Wellies walk at Thames Chase Community Forest, Upminster, on Sunday June 28th.

The fun packed event will include inflatables for the kids, a dog display and crowds will be entertained by the talented Canine Performers, who will be giving a show of Heel to Music and inviting people to have a go for themselves.

This is the second time Dawn Magee, (pictured on the right below) together with her husband Don and her daughter Amy, 15, (pictured on the left below) have taken part in the walk with their Labrador Frankie.

"My mother in law Gina Magee was at the hospice before she died in 2010 and the care she received was excellent," said Dawn from Hutton.

"This is something I can do with Amy and Frankie and it is really nice to do it for a reason."

Dogs will all receive a free orange bandana on the day and there is even a prize for the best dressed dog.

There will also be a variety of dog accessory stalls along with the chance of winning some fantastic raffle prizes.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for all the family and their pets to get together and have fun while supporting the hospice," said Katy Woodgate, the hospice's Events and Community Manager.

"This is our fifth Woofs and Wellies event and we are hoping the community will sign up so we can make it even more successful than in previous years."

The walk begins at 10am at the Thames Chase restaurant. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £2.50 for under 12s, under 3s go free and £2.50 for dogs.

Sign up online or call the hospice on 01708 771 427.
