Take a shot for your hospice
Brentwood-based sports promotor Barry Hearn is hosting a brand new event later this month to raise money for a local hospice.

Matchroom Sport and Saint Francis Hospice are holding a charity clay pigeon shoot at Down Hall County House Hotel near Bishop's Stortford on Thursday August 20th.
Barry, the Chairman of Matchroom Sport (pictured) said: "I have seen first-hand the amazing care and support Saint Francis Hospice provides to patients and their families when they need it most which is why I am so pleased to be hosting this new fundraising event."

The day will begin with breakfast before shooting between 10am and 1pm followed by a 3 course lunch and an auction of prestigious sporting memorabilia and exciting experiences.
Qualifies coaches will be on hand throughout the day and all equipment can be provided so the event can be enjoyed by anyone including total novices and expert shots.
Joining Barry for the event will be six times former World Snooker Champion Steve Davis. Steve said: "I'm looking forward to a fun day of shooting to raise money for a wonderful local charity, who took great care in looking after Barry's mother-in-law. It will definitely be interesting!"
