What is a Gift of Care?
Many of us have everything we need so when it comes to buying a unique present for someone special, it can be a real challenge.
That's why we’re inviting you to buy your family, friends or even colleagues a Gift of Care. You could even treat yourself.
Gifts of Care are a perfect way to show you’re thinking of the ones you love while directly supporting patients and families affected by life-limiting illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease and dementia.
How your donation will help
Your donation means more people in your community will receive the specialist end of life care they need from their local charity.
How it works
In just a few quick and easy steps, you can choose one of our special gifts.
- Select your Gift of Care - Choose one of the seven gift options. You won't receive an actual gift but your donation will be put straight to use where it is needed the most.
- Gift it to a family member, friend or colleague - We will send out a gift card for you to give to your friend, family or colleague so they will know that their donation has helped patients and families under the care of Saint Francis Hospice (you can opt to receive the card by email to save on postage costs).
Patient visit from a community nurse
They work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest standard of care and support, visiting patients in their homes or care home to assess their needs and ensure they are as comfortable and pain free as possible.
As part of our holistic approach to care, they often refer patients to other services they may benefit from (such as our counselling service, physiotherapy, complementary therapy or our day services at Pemberton Place).
