How your money helps

Our highly skilled and dedicated medical team provide treatment, care and support for 500 in patients every year.  In addition we make more than 5,000 home visits.  This incredible world class local service is provided completely free of charge, but will costs £6.5 million this year.  As a registered charity we rely on donations from the local community. 

You can be assured that your donation will be spent where ever the need is greatest, but here are some examples of what you money may be spent on;

£30,000 covers the full weekly cost of our home care services
£7,000 is the average cost of an in patient’s treatment
£1,500 could purchase a hydraulic mattress
£800 could buy a syringe driver to help control pain
£250 covers the cost of a day hospice visit
£100 could pay for one out patient attendance
£50 could pay for an hour of care in a patient’s home
£20 covers the cost of therapy materials for a bereaved child
£10 could buys clinical supplies for a patient for a day
£5 could pay for a patient’s daily meals
