CASUAL SECRETARY/RECPEPTIONIST
Hourly Rate - £8.2075 per hour
(salary progression is subject to satisfactory annual appraisal)
Would you like to have the opportunity of dealing with a wide range of services provided by Saint Francis Hospice?
The Hospice needs to employ experienced staff who can be available to work on an occasional basis to cover the planned absences of secretaries and receptionists at its Havering-atte-Bower site.
The secretarial role entails working for a number of specialist clinical departments. While you will receive training in the requirements for the different roles, excellent organisational skills are essential and experience of working under pressure using the range of Microsoft packages are critical.
You must also have experience of reception or administrative work dealing with the public, ideally in a healthcare environment. You will also carry out administrative tasks including dealing with the external mail for the different hospice departments. You will be supported by a loyal and dedicated team of Volunteer Receptionists.
As part of providing a professional image for the hospice, you will need to demonstrate a caring and sympathetic manner to all those you have contact with and maintain excellent standards of customer care
When working for our weekday reception service your hours will be from 8.30am to 5.30pm and for the secretarial roles the hours will vary between full days and part days depending on the service being covered.
It is important to be aware that there is no guarantee of regular work as the need for cover occurs on an irregular basis.
