New community fundraiser in town
21 October 2009

We are delighted to welcome a new community fundraiser to the team and she needs your help.
Rochelle Hodds will be out and about in Ilford and across Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Chigwell, raising awareness and funds for patient care.
Rochelle is no stranger to the area as she grew up in Barkingside and now lives in neighbouring Chigwell. She said: “I’ve seen first hand the medical and emotional care the hospice provides to the patients and families and I feel I can make a real difference by raising funds for patient care. I hope the local communities will support me.
“You could help by getting involved in fundraising events, joining a new fundraising group or letting me know of any businesses or community groups that could take on our bright collection boxes, merchandise and posters. It all helps.”
We are also looking for people to be the eyes and ears of the fundraising team in the community and let us know of any awards schemes or events such as town shows or fetes going on that Saint Francis Hospice could get involved in.
Fundraising is always difficult and never more so than in the current economic situation. It costs £6.5 million a year to run the hospice and government funding only provides £2 million so the challenge is on to raise funds. If you are able to get involved in supporting Saint Francis Hospice please call 01708 723593 or contact Rochelle at rochellehodds@sfh.org.uk
