Ace day raises £250 for hospice
Was it an eagle or was it an albatross? Either way caring golfers enjoyed an ace day as they chipped in to raise £250 for Saint Francis Hospice.
Eric Budzisz, senior citizen's captain at Hartswood Golf Club in Brentwood hosted a Captain's Day and after a day of potting holes in the sunshine members and their guests enjoyed lunch with players and retired members.
A raffle also took place and raised £250 for Saint Francis Hospice, which will be added to more than £8,500 that the club has already raised for the charity.
"Saint Francis Hospice is a local charity and we have been supporting it for many years," said Eric, who won the Winter Masters trophy.
"We are lucky to have a hospice in our community and I hope we can continue to support it for many years to come."
The club is always on the lookout for new members so to get involved or to find out more contact George Francis, Eric Budzisz or John Underwood on 01277 218 850.
