We’re excited to announce a Bank Cook/Catering Assistant opportunity to join the team at Saint Francis Hospice within our Kitchens

The Hospice needs to employ experienced bank cook/catering assistants who can be available to work on a ad-hoc basis to cover the planned absences of staff. This may be for single or part days, or part or whole weeks depending on what cover is required.

Location: Havering-atte-Bower, Romford

•  Hours: Cover for planned absences, covering Monday - Sunday
• Competitive salary

What You’ll Do:

Carrying out of duties in the Kitchen, Restaurant/Café and associated areas. These duties include service of food, cleaning of premises and equipment, pre-preparation of food items prior to service and to prepare cooked meals for those we care for at lunch and supper for the Ward. It can involve taking of cash, manly via the use of cash tills. Pot wash and working in the catering stores area. Full training is given before this duty is undertake

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Recently worked in Catering industry
• Flexibility in working hours
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as a member of a team or alone
