Doreen Power, 84, was the lucky winner of our rollover prize, which had risen to the maximum amount after rolling on for an incredible 50 weeks!

"It still hasn't sunk in really," said Doreen, from Dagenham.

"My daughter was with me at the time and her mouth just fell open.  Gillian Morris, CEO Pam Court, Doreen Power, Gary Power and Head of Data and Invididual Giving Justi

"Our family are big supporters of the Hospice and we've been playing the lottery since it first began.

"In the past I've won £10 but never expected to win anything like this!"

Doreen's connection with the Hospice is personal as a family member works on the inpatient unit.

In the past Doreen and her daughter Gillian Morris have even joined hundreds of supporters on our annual 10k Star Walk around Romford to help raise vital funds.

Doreen kindly made a donation to the Hospice and intends to share her good fortune with her four children, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.   Gillian Morris, CEO Pam Court, Doreen Power, Gary Power and Head of Data and Invididual Giving Justi

Justine Burrows, Head of Data and Individual Giving at the Hospice, said, "We are absolutely delighted for Doreen on her fantastic win and very grateful for her continued support over the years.

"The lottery is one of our major fundraising initiatives which helps us to raise the £21,000 a day we need to provide our specialist end of care services to the community.

"We hope Doreen's good luck will inspire more people to sign up and play. For just £1 a ticket, they will also have a chance to win one of our fabulous prizes."
