School host Cuppa for Care and raise over £210

Dame Tipping Primary school raised over £210 when they brought staff and pupils together to host a Cuppa for Care.

The 97-pupil school, which is just a stone’s throw from the Hospice, called upon parents and children to sell homemade cakes and bakes in return for a donation to the Hospice.



Staff, parents, year 6 pupils, and the Head of School chipped in at the end of the school day to serve up cake.
And their fantastic efforts will cover the cost of 8 hours of care on the ward for a local person who needs its experienced end-of-life services.

“As a school, we really want to be part of the local community and Saint Francis is a charity which is a really prominent part of the village and Havering as a whole,” said Stephen Ley, Head of School.

“The work they do fits really well with the school's core value of demonstrating 'Heartfelt Compassion', therefore we are proud to work with and support Saint Francis Hospice.”
