Spooks and sparks for hospice

Forget about trick or treat this Halloween, Saint Francis Hospice is calling on dare devils to bare their soles and hot foot across burning coals.

Playing with fire may go against every bit of safety advice you've ever heard but the Brentwood Community Firewalk challenge on Saturday, October 29 at the Old Brentwoods Club in Ashwells Road, Brentwood, promises to be crackling fun and a thrilling way to support our end of life care services.

And after dicing with danger, you'll be in high spirits and ready to step out in your finest ghoulish fashion for a Halloween party that's not to be missed.  Man walking over hot coals

"Halloween doesn't get any more exciting than this and the Firewalk is the perfect opportunity for clubs, groups, families and individuals to get together and walk over coals for their local hospice," said Katy Woodgate, Events Manager at Saint Francis Hospice.

"Sign up today to enjoy this fabulous hair-raising experience that has been brought to you by Bennetts Funeral Directors in Brentwood."

Doors open at 5pm and a safety briefing will take place at 6pm before the Firewalk begins at 7pm. The party is expected to kick off at 8pm.

Tickets cost just £15 and there is a sponsorship target of £162, which could pay for three hours of care for our patients.
