Frequently Asked Questions

How much does registration cost?

£15 for adults, £6 for under 16s, and children under 5 walk for free.

Included in the registration fee are T-shirts for adults, bespoke memory walk lanyards for children, and entry to the event.

How long is the walk?

Choose between a gentle 3k stroll or challenge yourself with a 5k route, whichever path you take, it’s all about honouring cherished memories.

Yes, well behaved dogs kept on leads are welcome.

How old do I need to be to take part in The Saint Francis Hospice Memory Walk?

Our walk is a family event and open to all but an adult guardian must accompany each entrant aged under 16 for the duration of the walk.

What should I wear?

You can wear your hospice t shirt or lanyard and comfortable clothing. We have a 5k route and a 3k route so appropriate footwear is recommended. Please check the forecast before the day so you can ensure you have something appropriate for all weathers.

Is there an easy access route?

This event is mainly on concrete paths however, there is a section that goes over uneven ground and grass.

Do I need to raise a certain amount of money?

Your entry fee covers the cost of the event, so we ask each participant to fundraise or donate a suggested amount of £105.

Your fundraising or donation will make a huge difference to the lives of people and their loved ones - £105 could pay for one senior nurse for one day.
