ways

We've been overwhelmed by the support you've been sending over the past few weeks - cash donations, regular donations for supporting our nurses, donations of PPE and more. Thank you so much for all you are doing.

Saint Francis Hospice is a charity and has been providing palliative care to the community for over 35 years and we'd like to be here for another 35 too. But we've been feeling the impact of the current situation.

Many people have asked us for different ways that they can support the Hospice. So we've listed some of the best ways here:

Frankie's 5

Icons-08Take part in Frankie’s 5! Run 5, Donate 5, Nominate 5.

Frankie’s 5 calls on you to walk, run or ride 5km, donate £5 to #SaintFrancisHospice and tag five friends to do the same.

If no one has nominated you, there’s no harm in spreading some good by running it anyway, donating and then nominating five of your friends.

Tag us on social in your achievements so that we can share your great work!

Why not start today, take part in Frankie’s 5 and support hospice nurses. You can make your donation online.

Play the SFH Lottery

Icons-09Every week we give £1,000 to one lucky winner, along with 10 prizes of £10, on our SFH Lottery!

Our £500 rollover prize, if not won, rolls over each week until someone's number comes up or the pot reaches £25,000. Then, it will be a guaranteed prize in that week's draw, to one very lucky winner! Find out more about the SFH Lottery here

Share our appeal
Icons-04Ask your friends, family and colleagues to make a contribution.

As a large local charity that receives only 23% of its funding from the NHS, we rely heavily on donations for most of our funding, so our nurses really need you to act now. Support our nurses by donating just £3 a month here

Play the Little Orange Quiz: lockdown edition

PostQuizzing is one of our favourite pastimes here in the UK - but during this time of lockdown, due to the coronavirus pandemic, our love of testing our general knowledge has had to go online.

So we've launched the Little Orange Quiz: lockdown edition! We'll release a new set of questions each week - for all your quizzical cravings! Play for just £3.

Pledge your Preloved
Icons-05Make a pledge to Saint Francis Hospice charity shops and save your preloved items for us. Our shops will be back up and running again soon, we'll notify you so that you can drop off your goods, or we'll collect them from you. Make your pledge online today.

Buy a gift of care

Icons-06Celebrating birthdays and anniversaries has changed. Buying gifts for loved ones, near and far, is creating new challenges for us all. Many of us have everything we need so when it comes to buying a unique present for someone special, it can be a real challenge.

That's why we’re inviting you to buy your family, friends or even colleagues a Gift of Care. You could even treat yourself. Gifts of Care are a perfect way to show you’re thinking of the ones you love while directly supporting local patients and families.

Sign up for Amazon Smile

Icons-03Shopping has moved online! With almost all retail outlets closed, we are all turning to online suppliers to purchase our necessities as well as those ‘nice to have’ products. If you use Amazon, you can choose to support Saint Francis Hospice through Amazon Smile. All you need to do is start your shopping at smile.amazon.co.uk and choose Saint Francis Hospice. A donation of 0.5% of the value of your purchase will be made by Amazon at no extra cost to you and you can donate this to us.
