An Evening With Arthur Edwards MBE

Arthur Edwards MBE is a legendary royal photographer and has been credited for taking the greatest royal pictures of all time. We are lucky enough to have the man himself here showcasing his royal photography collection at an exclusive event for us in January.

We'll begin the evening with a cheese and wine reception, followed by Arthur’s presentation at 7:30pm.

There are only 100 tickets available for this prestigious event - so be quick! You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime experience.

“Over almost four decades wherever the royal family have travelled, Edwards has gone with them. He has captured more than 200 royal tours across 120 countries. He’s been behind the lens at seven royal weddings, four funerals and captured the first public appearances following seven royal births.

Arthur joined The Sun in 1975 starting in general news and came to be a royal photographer by accident when he captured a ‘cracking shot’ of a young Prince Charles in action on the polo field.

In 1980 he took the first press pictures of a teenage Diana Spencer after a tip-off that Charles was dating her. He then followed her life for 17 years, developing a first-name relationship.

Arthur has developed a close bond with several members of the Royal family and is often referred to as the House of Windsor’s favourite snapper. This was confirmed in 2003 when the Queen made him a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for ‘outstanding service to newspapers’ "a week later she jokingly asked him why he wasn’t wearing his medal.”
