Our guest speaker is Sinead Garvan

Sinead Garvan is a highly respected broadcast journalist and presenter with over a decade of experience at the BBC. 

During her 13 years with the broadcaster, she became a familiar voice to millions, working on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw 

as his entertainment presenter, and reporting for Newsbeat, Radio 1’s flagship news programme.

Sinead’s versatility saw her contribute across the BBC network - presenting music news on Radio 2 alongside Ken Bruce, Zoe Ball  and Claudia Winkleman, as well as appearing on BBC News, The Victoria Derbyshire Show, Radio 4’s Today Programme and BBC 5 Live.

Since leaving the BBC, Sinead has continued to make her mark in broadcasting and podcasting. She has hosted a number of podcasts for  Spotify and the BBC and contributed to others - including the hugely popular Wagatha Christie podcast. Her distinctive voice is also in  high demand for advertising, documentaries, and music television projects.

Today, Sinead works with News UK as a newsreader across TalkSport, Talk, and Virgin Radio. Alongside her broadcasting work, 

she regularly hosts awards, panels and debates, and shares her expertise as a media trainer - helping others communicate 

with clarity and confidence.
