This is the third joint study day run by Saint Francis Hospice in partnership with St Joseph’s Hospice with focus on palliative care in heart failure.
 
This day is for anyone working closely with people with heart failure who want to enhance advanced illness care and ensure that as they approach end of life, people with a primary diagnosis of heart failure get the very best of care and symptom control and that we hear and respond to what matters to them now. The day will include invited speakers with experience/an evidence base in managing this condition and plenty of discussion/ sharing of experience time.

Topics addressed will include:
Signs and symptoms of end stage heart failure. 
Challenging conditions: An update on cardiac myopathies: living with congenital heart disease.
What’s new in fluid management.
ICD deactivation.
What does good palliative care for people with heart failure look like?
