Himalayan adventure gets off to "bootiful" start

A generous motorbike shop boss is making sure a hospice worker will set off on the right foot after donating a pair of boots for his adventure across the Himalayas.

Jon Evans with boots - website sizeJon Evans, 52, was presented with the boots by Johns of Romford ahead of his exciting expedition across the Himalayas on July 24th to raise money for Saint Francis Hospice. 


"The hospice has a very strong local presence and we are only too happy to contribute in any way we can," said Mike Adlington, the shop's director. 


"With Jon's motorbike association and with us both based in Romford it is something we had to do." 


Jon, an estate manager at the hospice, will be among eight bikers who will travel to New Delhi before taking in the breathtaking scenery as they make their way across 17,000km of the Himalayan mountain range.
