Santathon promises ho-spice fun for all
Experience the magic of Christmas and join more than 300 Santas as they jingle all the way around town.
This is the 7th year Saint Francis Hospice has organised the Santathon, which kicks off with a festive warm up at the Dagenham and Redbridge Football Club ground in Victoria Road, Dagenham, on Sunday, December 13.
The sea of Santas will then bring a smile and cheer to residents and passers-by as they make their way along the 5k route through the streets of Dagenham.
Anthony Moore, 44, from Brentwood, (pictured) will be donning the distinctive red suit to support the charity for the second time.
"I signed up last year because it looked like a bit of Christmas fun," said Anthony, who works as a landscape gardener. There was a great atmosphere and everyone was so friendly. I am a bit of a runner and it was a great way to raise money for a wonderful cause."
"I am really looking forward to doing it again next month and my family love coming along to watch."
There will also be a mini Christmas market and a best dressed Santa competition.
Katy Woodgate, Events Manager at the hospice, said, "Make this a Christmas you will never forget and sign up for the festive work out.
"It doesn't matter if you run, walk or crawl, it is guaranteed to be great fun.
"At the same time you will be supporting Saint Francis Hospice and helping us to continue providing excellent care to people affected by life limiting illnesses."
Entry costs £10 for adults, £5 for children and includes a free Santa suit.
