Education Centre
Allied health professionals and rehabilitation in palliative care support individuals with symptom control and daily living skills to live until they die. This echoes the famous words of Dame Cicely Saunders "You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die."

Who is it for?
The study day is suitable for those working or with an interest in palliative care and wanting to increase their knowledge of how allied health professionals support people within a palliative care context.

What will I study?
- How Physiotherapy aims to positively influence end of life working alongside patients, their needs and priorities thus helping them to cope and handle their life changing situation.
- How occupational therapists enable patients to adapt to their changing ability levels and help them remain engaged until they die.
- How complementary therapy works alongside conventional medicine helping patients to relax and cope better with illness and treatment.
