Are you feeling alone or isolated? Are you in need of a friendly conversation? OrangeLine is here to help. 

What is OrangeLine?

  • OrangeLine is a confidential helpline for local people.
  • We can help you to make connections, start new friendships or simply provide guidance and information.
  • We are only a phone call away. OrangeLine is open Monday to Friday 9am -5pm. 
  • You can express your thoughts and feelings in confidence; we will always respect your privacy.
  • Calls are charged at your standard network/local rate. There is no charge for the service we provide.
  • OrangeLine is open to people of all ages. You do not need to have a connection with Saint Francis Hospice. 

Who is OrangeLine for?

  • OrangeLine is a helpline for local people of all ages who may be bereaved, feeling isolated or lonely.
  • We are here for you, whatever you want to talk about.

What other services does OrangeLine offer?

  • Regular telephone calls from specially trained OrangeLine staff and volunteers.
  • Information and signposting to local services.
  • Referrals to local specialist advice centres.
  • Connections to local social/friendship groups. 
  • Links to local special interest groups.
  • Call chains for people who would like to chat to others with similar interests.
  • OrangeLine is based at Saint Francis Hospice and has direct access to specialists’ teams such as nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers.

When can I call?
You can call between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours an answer service will record your message, which we will respond to on the next working day. Our phone number is 01708 758649.
