Death, Celebrations... and Chocolate

Education Centre
Who is this for?
This study day addresses the natural process of dying, cultural concerns around death and the process of burial or cremation and allowing caregivers to support dying people well. Alongside sharing experiences we will indulge in the delicious treat of chocolate, which anecdotally is thought to have some health benefits. The day is designed to be interactive. It will also involve a visit to an undertaker and Herongate Woodland cemetery (weather appropriate clothing advised).

What will I study?
• Myths around end of life care and the realities
• Understanding grief and communication skills

When booking the day please make the team aware if you require transport in the afternoon to the off-site visits.

With thanks to Herongate Wood Funeral Directors for their kind donation.
