Mental Health and Palliative Care
Caring for people with a Mental Health diagnosis alongside Palliative Care needs
The increasing number of people living with Mental Health diagnosis coupled with an ageing population, means an increased prevalence of life limiting illness in those living with pre-existing mental health conditions. A person with Mental Health needs who require Palliative Care should have the same access to care as the rest of the population.
A skilled workforce with the knowledge of Mental Health conditions is essential. This study day is relevant to all health and social care professionals
