An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated, highly experienced nurse with palliative and end of life care practice and knowledge. The post holder will join our well-established expert community and ward nursing teams and medical services as a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
This post will provide varied senior experience in a multidisciplinary working environment both within the community services and the 18-bed ward, which will be undergoing redevelopment September 2025 - March 2026
Across the Hospice our services work within the boundaries of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Brentwood, West Essex and Redbridge and provide ward-based care, Enhanced Hospice at Home, Therapies and Wellbeing, and Community Services including out of hours advisory telephone support. Working collaboratively with other internal and external healthcare professionals is an essential part of the Hospice services.
We are looking for a candidate who has advanced communication and clinical assessment / prioritisation skills, as well as an understanding of the complex needs of those receiving expert palliative care /end of life care
In addition, competency in evidence-based practice and the ability share a sound knowledge of current initiatives and research developments in palliative care.

This role has been aligned with the NMC Principles or Advanced Practice June 2025
Extensive autonomous community experience would be additionally valuable to this post and successful non-medical prescribing qualification essential to support senior level decision making.
Relevant experience of working at Band 7 or above, managing a complex clinical caseload with appropriate supporting qualifications as well as any evidence of appropriate leadership development
