Physiotherapy

We are looking for reliable and motivated volunteers to support our Therapies Team by cleaning and preparing essential equipment used in people in our cares homes.

This is a valuable behind-the-scenes role where your work helps ensure equipment is safe, clean and ready for the next person who needs it. Your support plays an important part in helping people remain comfortable, independent and cared for at home.

If you take pride in practical tasks and want to contribute to care in a meaningful way, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What’s involved?

  • Cleaning Occupational Therapy equipment such as wheelchairs, walking frames, rollators, crutches and bath aids
  • Drying and preparing equipment so it is ready for re-use
  • Following hospice infection control procedures at all times
  • Keeping the cleaning area tidy, organised and safe

Who are we looking for?

  • Are you practical and comfortable carrying out cleaning tasks?
  • Are you able to follow guidance and procedures carefully?
  • Are you reliable with good timekeeping?
  • Are you able to work independently once trained?
  • Are you physically able to carry out the role (no heavy lifting required)?
  • Are you able to commit to a regular or flexible volunteering pattern?

If so, we would love to hear from you.
