This is a higher level practical communication skills course designed for registered professionals working in health and social care who are involved in providing end of life care. The need for appropriate training around CPR has been recognised by several professional bodies.

The document published by the British Medical Association, Resuscitation Council UK and the Royal College of Nursing (revised 2016) is used as key guidance.

The programme includes:
Communication skills.
Principles of biomedical ethics and moral courage.
Discussions around DVD scenarios of DNACPR.
Role play as a teaching method to safely practice challenging communication situations and gain confidence.
