A Little Change for our Online Community
Here at Saint Francis Hospice, we've always aimed to create a warm and supportive space for everyone, whether that's within our hospice walls or online. That's why we wanted to let you know about a small but important change we're making to our social media.
After a lot of thought, we've decided to step away from actively using X.com (formerly Twitter).
Why the Change?
Over the past year or so, we've noticed X.com just isn't quite the right fit for us anymore. We've seen more content on there that doesn't really align with what we stand for – things like misinformation and a general atmosphere that isn't always as positive or respectful as we'd like. Our priority is always to connect with you in a way that truly reflects the compassion, community and dignity at the heart of Saint Francis Hospice.
Like many other charities and organisations across the UK, we're finding that some online spaces just don't feel as safe or supportive for the kind of conversations we want to have with you. While we've appreciated connecting on X.com in the past, we feel our energy and resources are better spent elsewhere.
What Does This Mean for You?
Our old X.com profile will stay live as a record of our past posts, but we won't be posting new content or replying to messages there from now on. It will not be monitored.
