Hospice awarded contract to deliver All Age Bereavement Service for Redbridge

We are delighted to share that Saint Francis Hospice has been awarded the contract to deliver the All Age Bereavement Service for Redbridge in partnership with North East London ICB.
With over 40 years’ experience supporting individuals, families, loved ones and communities through death, dying and bereavement, we are proud to be strengthening our commitment to people living in Redbridge.
This new service will provide compassionate, accessible and high-quality bereavement support for adults, children, young people and families, recognising that grief affects everyone differently and can have a profound impact on emotional wellbeing. Through a combination of one-to-one counselling, family and individual support, group interventions and community-based provision, we will ensure people receive the right support at the right time.
Working closely with our partners at NHS North East London and local referral organisations, we aim to build strong, collaborative pathways to ensure the service is accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse communities in Redbridge.
At the heart of our approach is a community-first, inclusive model of care. We will work closely with local partners including GPs, schools, voluntary organisations and faith groups to ensure the service is culturally responsive, accessible and embedded within local communities.
We are committed to reducing health inequalities, improving mental wellbeing and supporting people to navigate grief in a way that is personal to them, helping to build resilience and prevent longer-term impacts such as isolation, anxiety and depression.
We look forward to launching the service on 15 June 2026 and to working alongside partners and communities to make a meaningful difference to those experiencing bereavement.
