New Interim Chair Appointed at Saint Francis Hospice

We would like to announce that Mary Edwards has stepped down from her role as Chair of the Board of Trustees, for personal health reasons. Mary said:

“It is with great sadness that I tender my resignation as Chair of Saint Francis Hospice. I wish the hospice success in its new 5 Year Strategy.”

Our CEO Grazina Berry said: “We are sad to see Mary go and thank her for her valuable contributions during the last year. On behalf of everyone at Saint Francis Hospice, I wish her all the best for the future.”

We are pleased to confirm that Vice Chair Amanda Hallums has been appointed to the role of Interim Chair, while we begin the process of recruiting a new Chair.

Amanda brings with her extensive experience, both from her professional career and her time as Vice Chair and Trustee at Saint Francis Hospice. Amanda is a registered nurse and midwife and is currently working as an Interim Hospital Director. Amanda shared with us:

“It has been a privilege to be a Trustee at Saint Francis Hospice. I very much welcome this opportunity, and I am proud to serve as Interim Chair, working with the Board to support the continued success of the hospice and provide stability pending recruitment.”

We look forward to working with Amanda in this interim capacity and with the Board of Trustees, as they continue to provide strong guidance and governance.
