Saint Francis Hospice was once again proud to take part in the BGC Charity Day, a powerful global fundraising event that has raised millions for good causes worldwide.

The annual event was held at the BGC offices in Canary Wharf, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund to remember the 658 friends and colleagues and the 61 Eurobrokers employees who were tragically killed in the September 11th terror attack in New York.

The celebrity patrons representing Saint Francis Hospice on the day were some much loved faces including, professional boxer, Conor Benn, Matchroom Sport founder and president Barry Hearn, who is also a proud patron of Saint Francis Hospice and ex-professional West Ham footballer and coach Carlton Cole.

Popular social media personality Big John Fisher and his son, rising boxer, Johnny Fisher, were also there.

They had fun taking to the phones and helping raise funds while rubbing shoulders with dozens of other stars from the worlds of sport, film, music and television.

Big John, who is passionate about supporting our cause, shared a heartfelt message on the day:

“My dad unfortunately passed of cancer 12 years ago and Saint Francis Hospice was there for my mum and dad when they were needed. Always shown compassion, always been there for people in their desperate days, so the hospice will always have a special place in our heart.”
