Saint Francis Hospice Takes to the Trading Floor for BGC Charity Day 2026

Saint Francis Hospice was delighted to be back at BGC Charity Day 2026, joining hundreds of people from across the worlds of sport, entertainment and business for a memorable day of fundraising in Canary Wharf.
Held at the BGC offices, the annual event is organised in partnership with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and was established to honour the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees and 61 Eurobrokers employees who tragically lost their lives in the September 11th terror attacks in New York.
Each year, BGC Charity Day brings together celebrities, charity representatives and BGC employees on the trading floor, working together to take calls, make deals and raise vital funds for charities around the world. What began as a way of remembering colleagues and friends has grown into an extraordinary day of fundraising.
Saint Francis Hospice was thrilled to have a fantastic group of supporters representing the charity on the trading floor this year.
Long-term supporter and Patron Barry Hearn, founder and president of Matchroom Sport, was joined by Matchroom talent Henry Pollock, professional English rugby player, and Ian Garry, Irish professional mixed martial artist.
Together, they brought plenty of energy to the trading floor, taking part in the day's fundraising efforts and helping to generate vital funds for Saint Francis Hospice.
Reflecting on the work of Saint Francis Hospice and the people who make it possible, Barry Hearn said:
“We've seen first-hand the work that Saint Francis Hospice does, it is amazing. It is staffed by the most fantastic group of people. Let's do it with some love, care and attention and that's exactly what Saint Francis Hospice stands for.”
He was joined by fellow patron, the West Ham legend and former England footballer Sir Trevor Brooking, who helped with the fundraising efforts and to bring plenty of sporting spirit to the trading floor.

Popular social media personality, Big John Fisher was also back supporting Saint Francis Hospice, getting involved in the action and helping to close deals throughout the day.
Speaking about being part of the event, Big John said:
“It's a massive honour for me to be here at the BGC Charity Day representing Saint Francis Hospice, a charity close to our heart. We've had a fantastic day for an amazing charity doing great things.”

While BGC Charity Day is a lively and exciting event, at its heart is a very important purpose, raising money to support charities and the communities they serve.
For Saint Francis Hospice, the funds raised will help us continue providing specialist, compassionate care to individuals living with illnesses that cannot be cured and supporting their loved ones across our local community, ensuring that everyone receives the care, dignity and compassion they deserve at the end of life.
Chloe Winter, Head of Major Gifts and Partnerships at Saint Francis Hospice, added:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at BGC for welcoming Saint Francis Hospice back for another fantastic Charity Day. It is always such a special event, bringing together so many people who give their time, energy and support to make a difference. The atmosphere on the trading floor was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many of our supporters getting involved and helping to raise vital funds for our hospice.”
