Honey doesn't just taste delicious; it is also very good for you!

And patients, staff, volunteers and visitors are benefiting from the Romford Division Beekeepers' Club's latest donation.

Angela Mander, the division's Show Secretary, delivered eight jars of the natural honey which had been gifted by members of the club at their show in October, to our kitchen.

Spreading honey on toast or adding it to porridge for breakfast is a popular choice for patient on our inpatient unit!

And Catering Manager Vince Felton will now be using it in IMG-8626 (1)his cooking.

"It is such a pleasure to gift the honey to the hospice to give people the opportunity to indulge a sweet tooth with something that is locally produced, natural and good for them," said Angela.

Earlier this year honey from the Essex Show in Orsett was also donated to the hospice!
